Annapurna circuit is one of the most considered and interesting routes through the Himalaya. As varied as it can be, the route reveals the rich variety of ethnic groups, cultures and settlements.
Annapurna determines the climate of all surrounding valleys. It wards off the moist gusts of monsoon leaving the valleys and highlands of Mustang dry and deserted beyond Kagbeni.
We visit the Juwala Mapa of Muktinath, ‘the temple of the miraculous flame’, marked by fire and water. View the gorges where the Kali Gandaki wends its way between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna and follow one of the most important ancient caravan routes in the Himalaya.
