༄ The center of the universe. The source of the Ganges. The home of the gods. Steeped in lore, the Garhwal Himalaya is home to Shivling, Meru and Satopanth. Satopanth is the highest peak in the region and a spectacular climb.
Garhwal Expedition Climb of a 7000 meter peak. In October 2023 we are going to climb 7075m Satopanth. Our plan is simple, fly into Dehra Dun, jeep to Gangotri and make the approach on foot with porter and mule support to a base camp, and then begin acclimatizing and climbing. Our base camp will have three fresh meals a day (many western dishes, pizza), each person their own two person tent, and a dining tent fully stocked for relaxing and resting between rotations on the mountain.
