“Annapurna is at the centre of one of the most amazing mountain amphitheaters in the world. Modi Peak, seen from the Sanctuary, seems impregnable. Sheer and rough gullys lead to the summit crags, covered with jutting ice that threaten to swallow little humans that venture onto the lower slopes. The wall between the two mountains is criss-crossed by ice tunnels that plunge down between rocky buttresses and sharp edges. The turreted ridge is dominated by the Fang, a spire similar to the tooth of a wolf, formed of black, menacing, repulsive rocks.” Chris Bonnington, 1970

A classic trek to Annapurna Sanctuary during off-season.

It runs along the trail from Pokhara through the rhododendron forests, bougainvillea ferns and bamboos. The narrow gorge between Machapurchare and Hiunchuli marks the boundary between the lower pastures and tropical forests to the alpine.

Leadership. A qualified Sherpa guide, Gomba Sherpa, will be leading this trip working alongside his team of top notch local guides and staff.

Trust. 4000 meters is no place to be short on resources. We make the proper advance preparations to ensure that our team will be properly cared for, from airport to summit to airport.
