Silk Route Powder Ski Exploratory. Join us in the Tian Shan of Kyrgyzstan & Uzbekistan this coming Winter to ski and snowboard first descents with ski guide Luke Smithwick
Kyrgyzstan & Uzbekistan have it all for all intermediate and higher levels of backcountry skiers and snowboarders. We choose the Winter season for quality snow conditions and ease of access to base camps with horses (and snowmobiles), and for snow stability and great variety of choice in ski objectives.
SETUP
We powder ski daily from a nice hotel in Uzbekistan and a warm fully stocked yurt in Kyrgyzstan. We powder ski tour each day skiing a variety of terrain.
Choose to visit the ancient cities of Bukhara and Samarkhand in Uzbekistan or stay and ski powder. Two options (outlined in the itinerary below). What’s key here is how quiet it is in these areas of the Tian Shan. Untracked powder for days with no rush to ski terrain before others do. Finally, a ski trip where you can powder ski at your own pace and not have to compete with the crowds. Join us.

*To make it clear, you can stay and ski more for the 13th and 14th February. Or you can go see the two most iconic cities of Uzbekistan. If you’re only visiting Uzbekistan once, a visit to Samarkhand and Bukhara are important stops exploring the Silk Route.
